El sistema aglutinante determina directamente la nitidez de la impresi\u00f3n, la resistencia al roce y la estabilidad de almacenamiento del pigmento. Como \u00e9ter de celulosa no i\u00f3nico soluble en disolventes org\u00e1nicos, la etilcelulosa (EC) presenta excelentes propiedades de formaci\u00f3n de pel\u00edcula, rendimiento en la liberaci\u00f3n de disolvente, capacidad de modulaci\u00f3n reol\u00f3gica y estabilidad en la dispersi\u00f3n del pigmento. Se utiliza ampliamente en tintas flexogr\u00e1ficas, tintas de huecograbado para pl\u00e1sticos, tintas de serigraf\u00eda y tintas especiales para envases alimentarios. En este art\u00edculo se analizan las caracter\u00edsticas moleculares de la etilcelulosa, sus funciones principales en los sistemas de tintas, la selecci\u00f3n del grado de viscosidad, las aplicaciones t\u00edpicas de las f\u00f3rmulas y los problemas habituales del proceso, centr\u00e1ndose en proporcionar referencias para el desarrollo de f\u00f3rmulas de tintas flexogr\u00e1ficas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Propiedades fisicoqu\u00edmicas b\u00e1sicas de la etilcelulosa<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La etilcelulosa se obtiene mediante una reacci\u00f3n de etoxilaci\u00f3n y eterificaci\u00f3n de la celulosa de algod\u00f3n refinada. Se presenta en forma de polvo blanco, insoluble en agua pero soluble en la mayor\u00eda de los disolventes org\u00e1nicos mixtos, como alcoholes, \u00e9steres, cetonas e hidrocarburos arom\u00e1ticos. En los productos comerciales destinados a la fabricaci\u00f3n de tintas, el contenido predominante de etoxi oscila entre el 48,0 % y el 49,5 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ventajas principales<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Pol\u00edmero termopl\u00e1stico que permite obtener pel\u00edculas transparentes y flexibles, resistentes a la fragilidad a bajas temperaturas.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Excelente resistencia a la grasa, el alcohol y el agua, con un destacado rendimiento antiaferrante.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Excelente compatibilidad con la nitrocelulosa, la resina de poliamida, la resina acr\u00edlica y la resina maleica.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Combusti\u00f3n y descomposici\u00f3n limpias, sin contenido de cenizas residuales.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Efecto de impedimento est\u00e9rico para estabilizar los sistemas de dispersi\u00f3n de pigmentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los grados comerciales se clasifican seg\u00fan la viscosidad de la soluci\u00f3n (soluci\u00f3n de tolueno\/etanol 8:2, 5 %, a 25 \u2103): EC N10, N50, N100, N200. El EC N100 es el grado m\u00e1s utilizado para tintas flexogr\u00e1ficas para pl\u00e1sticos y un grado de ensayo clave para los fabricantes de tintas latinoamericanos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Las cinco funciones principales de la etilcelulosa en los sistemas de tinta<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Aglutinante film\u00f3geno de alta eficiencia para mejorar la durabilidad del recubrimiento<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EC can be used alone or compounded with other resins as an ink binder. Upon solvent evaporation, it forms continuous, dense and transparent films which firmly encapsulate pigment particles and adhere to substrates including PE, BOPP, PET films, paper and aluminum foil. &#8211; Rub\u2011resistance and scratch\u2011resistance of ink films; less discoloration and scratching during stacked storage of printed articles.\u200b- Anti\u2011blocking (anti\u2011sticking) property to avoid set\u2011off during high\u2011speed printing winding.\u200b- Moderate barrier property improving water\u2011resistance and vegetable\u2011oil resistance, suitable for food flexible\u2011packaging applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Modificador reol\u00f3gico para una imprimibilidad optimizada (valor fundamental para la flexograf\u00eda)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La etilcelulosa confiere pseudoplasticidad (comportamiento de fluidez por cizallamiento) a las tintas: la viscosidad disminuye bajo el cizallamiento a alta velocidad de los rodillos de impresi\u00f3n, lo que permite una transferencia suave de la tinta; la viscosidad se recupera r\u00e1pidamente una vez que desaparece la fuerza de cizallamiento tras abandonar la plancha de impresi\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Problemas clave del sector resueltos: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Flying ink, sagging and dot gain during flexographic and gravure printing.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Pigment sedimentation and phase separation during static ink storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b- Nitidez insuficiente de los puntos para la impresi\u00f3n de colores intensos y claros en prensas de alta velocidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Estabilizador de dispersi\u00f3n de pigmentos para evitar la floculaci\u00f3n y la aglomeraci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las cadenas polim\u00e9ricas EC se adsorben en las superficies de los pigmentos inorg\u00e1nicos y org\u00e1nicos y forman capas de impedimento est\u00e9rico que impiden el acercamiento mutuo y la aglomeraci\u00f3n de las part\u00edculas de pigmento. Ventajas: mayor estabilidad de almacenamiento de las pastas de color molidas con una menor tendencia al engrosamiento; mayor saturaci\u00f3n del color y tono estable de las tintas; menor dosificaci\u00f3n de dispersantes independientes y mayor resistencia al alcohol de los sistemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Regular la velocidad de liberaci\u00f3n del disolvente para mejorar el rendimiento del secado<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En comparaci\u00f3n con la resina de poliamida y la nitrocelulosa, la etilcelulosa permite una liberaci\u00f3n equilibrada del disolvente. En los sistemas de disolventes de alcohol y \u00e9ster, evita la formaci\u00f3n de una pel\u00edcula superficial, la retenci\u00f3n de disolvente en el interior y los defectos resultantes, como burbujas, poros y problemas de secado lento, por lo que resulta adecuada para l\u00edneas de producci\u00f3n flexogr\u00e1ficas de velocidad media a alta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Mejorar la compatibilidad del sistema y subsanar las deficiencias de las resinas mixtas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las tintas a base de poliamida pura presentan una resistencia al calor insuficiente; las tintas a base de nitrocelulosa tienden a ser fr\u00e1giles y a agrietarse con facilidad. Los sistemas compuestos EC pueden:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2011 Reducir la dosis de nitrocelulosa y mitigar el riesgo de amarilleamiento de las capas de tinta;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2011 Aumentar la estabilidad t\u00e9rmica de las tintas a base de poliamida y mejorar su adaptabilidad a los procesos de laminaci\u00f3n posteriores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Soluciones de selecci\u00f3n por calidades para distintos procesos de impresi\u00f3n<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Tintas de impresi\u00f3n flexogr\u00e1fica (aplicaci\u00f3n clave para los clientes)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sustratos compatibles: pel\u00edcula de BOPP, pel\u00edcula de PE, etiquetas de papel y pl\u00e1stico, envases flexibles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Grados recomendados: EC N50 \/ EC N100<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2011 N50: Baja viscosidad, mayor contenido en s\u00f3lidos y fluidez adecuada, apta para tintas de colores claros de alta velocidad con anilox de perfil poco profundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2011 N100 (grado preferido para uso general): Viscosidad equilibrada, resistencia de la pel\u00edcula y rendimiento antisedimentaci\u00f3n para tintas flexogr\u00e1ficas en color de uso general. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dosis de adici\u00f3n recomendada: 3 %\u201112 % del total de la f\u00f3rmula (ajustar seg\u00fan la viscosidad deseada).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Tintas para impresi\u00f3n en huecograbado sobre pl\u00e1stico<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para la impresi\u00f3n en huecograbado a velocidades medias y bajas se recomiendan los grados de alta viscosidad N100 y N200. El EC de alta viscosidad refuerza la resistencia del film y mejora la resistencia al roce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Tintas para serigraf\u00eda y tintas especiales para marcado<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se recomienda utilizar los productos N10 y N50 de baja viscosidad para optimizar la capacidad de nivelaci\u00f3n y evitar que se obstruya el tamiz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u26a0 Principios clave de selecci\u00f3n: una mayor viscosidad proporciona un mayor efecto espesante y una mayor resistencia de la pel\u00edcula para una misma cantidad a\u00f1adida; una viscosidad excesivamente alta puede provocar una viscosidad inicial excesiva de la tinta y dificultar la molienda. Se consigue una solubilidad y una transparencia \u00f3ptimas cuando el contenido de etoxi se mantiene entre 48 y 49,5 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusi\u00f3n<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En los sistemas de tinta a base de disolvente, la etilcelulosa no es simplemente una resina espesante, sino una materia prima multifuncional que integra funciones de formaci\u00f3n de pel\u00edcula, dispersi\u00f3n, modulaci\u00f3n reol\u00f3gica y antibloqueo. En el caso de las tintas flexogr\u00e1ficas para envases flexibles, un grado de viscosidad adecuado (grado industrial N100), una proporci\u00f3n de adici\u00f3n optimizada y un sistema de disolventes adecuado pueden mejorar simult\u00e1neamente la imprimibilidad y la durabilidad final de la pel\u00edcula de tinta. Constituye una soluci\u00f3n importante para que los formuladores de tintas aborden retos como la p\u00e9rdida de nitidez de los puntos, la sedimentaci\u00f3n y la escasa resistencia al roce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Solvent\u2011based flexographic and gravure inks are widely adopted in flexible packaging and label printing industries.
