While insoluble in water, EC can be incorporated as aqueous dispersions or dissolved in cosmetically acceptable organic solvents to create protective films, encapsulation matrices, and time-release systems for active ingredients.
Our MC (Methylcellulose) offers temperature-responsive properties valuable in specialized skincare applications. MC exhibits thermal gelation, remaining as mobile solutions at room temperature but forming gels upon warming to body temperature during skin contact.

Technical Specifications

Typical usage levels vary by product type and function. HEC is used at 0.3-2.0% in skincare formulations, with 0.5-1.2% typical for most lotions, creams, and gels. EC is used at 0.5-3.0% depending on film-forming or controlled-release requirements. MC is used at 0.3-1.5% for thermal gelation and film-forming applications. HPC is used at 0.2-1.5% for thickening, emulsion stabilization, and conditioning effects.
