Our product significantly enhances the water retention capacity of tile adhesives, suppressing excessive moisture loss into highly absorbent tiles and substrates. It ensures sufficient water availability for cement hydration and hardening, thereby improving bond strength.
Simultaneously, adding cellulose ether to tile adhesives imparts plasticity to the mortar, simplifying application and increasing the contact area between the adhesive, tile, and substrate. When tiles are applied to vertical surfaces, they may sag due to gravity; our product effectively improves the anti-sagging properties of tile adhesives.
Our product also effectively extends the open time (the time during which tiles remain firmly bonded after application) and settling time (the time during which tile placement can be fine-tuned after application), making application more convenient.

Key Performance Benefits

Our HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) and MHEC (Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose) products deliver extended open time ranging from 20 to 60 minutes depending on the grade selected, allowing installers adequate working time even in challenging environmental conditions. The superior water retention capacity (≥95%) prevents premature drying and ensures complete cement hydration, which is critical for achieving maximum bond strength.

The excellent thixotropic properties of our cellulose ethers provide outstanding anti-sagging performance for vertical installations, allowing large and heavy tiles to be installed on walls without slippage. This eliminates the need for mechanical support during curing and significantly improves installation efficiency. When combined with RDP (Redispersible Polymer Powder), our formulations achieve enhanced flexibility, superior adhesion strength, and improved impact resistance, which are essential for exterior applications and areas subject to vibration or structural movement.

Technical Specifications

Our tile adhesive grades of HPMC and MHEC are available in viscosity ranges from 20,000 to 200,000 mPa·s (2% solution, 20°C), allowing formulators to select the optimal grade for specific application requirements.
