SEED’S HMHEC (Hydroxymethyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose) provides exceptional thickening efficiency combined with superior water retention, creating precise rheological profiles essential for suspending colored particles of varying densities while preventing settling, flotation, or migration during storage and application.
SEED’S HPC (Hydroxypropyl Cellulose) contributes unique surface-active properties that stabilize oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions containing colored droplets or particles. The amphiphilic nature of HPC reduces interfacial tension between incompatible phases, preventing coalescence and maintaining discrete colored elements throughout the coating’s service life.

Technical Specifications

Our multi-colored paint grade HMHEC is available in viscosity ranges from 20,000 to 100,000 mPa·s (2% solution, 20°C), providing rheology optimization for various multi-color effect types and application methods.
HPC is available in viscosity ranges from 150 to 6,500 mPa·s (2% aqueous solution, 20°C), with selection based on required film properties and stabilization efficiency.
